Maintenance Operations Specialist

Goodwin & Company is looking for a highly motivated, detail-orientated Operations Specialist with office experience and an understanding or maintenance. Your mission would primarily be to assist the Community Association Manager with daily operations of a large master planned community. This position involves daily contact with homeowners and board members which requires an individual who is well-spoken and customer service-oriented. The community is located in North Austin.


Maintenance Responsibilities:


  • Assist with daily preventive maintenance tasks and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Perform basic maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.
  • Porter services to include cleaning of common area restrooms, waste receptacles, pool deck, pool furniture, playground equipment, and other common areas as required daily.
  • Responsible for work order systems accuracy by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards.
  • Serve as liaison between Community Manager and vendors to ensure all work is performed to contractual obligations.
  • Ensure maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently, and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours. Inform Community Manager and resident if work delayed due to needed parts

Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the daily operations of the amenities and recreation facilities.
    • Meet and greet homeowners/residents that walk into the office.  
    • Answer incoming office phone calls as needed and return emails and voicemails within 24 hours.
    • Assist in administering facility card access and bookings
    • Assist in conducting New Resident Orientations.
    • Understand Community Association policies and rules.  Support Community Association Manager in enforcement and administration.
    • Assist with maintenance of office equipment and supplies and overall appearance of the amenities and recreation facilities.
    • Provide content and regular updates for the community resident website and prepare and execute the weekly e-news for residents.



  • Must have excellent customer service, computer and typing skills, along with proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite and the internet.
  • Must be able to adapt to management software and computer programs utilized by the company and self-teach through hands-on training and training guides.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and exercise diplomacy.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment.
  • Must be highly organized and know how to prioritize while working independently with minimal supervision or while in communication with team
